Welcome, My name is Author Shelly Kitz

I am a Middle-grade Children's Chapter book author. My stories are written for kids who want to see stories that come from the ideas of other kids. Now, I may not be a kid anymore, but the ideas for the stories come from my nieces and nephews.  

 

My first book series, called the Bugztopia PD Series, was an idea that I got from my nephew. When my nephew asked for this series, he was a six-year-old boy and what do boys love more than anything... Bugs. And that is how Bugztopia was formed. From the inspiration of a young boy then turned into a multi-seasons long book series with detectives, an overarching evil, and, of course, bugs. The Bugztopia PD Series is ideal for readers who are 9-12 and like detective books.

 

Now, Bugztopia PD is currently the only book series that I have out right now and I am actively writing, but in the future, I am sure I will have to write a book series about unicorns for my little niece and maybe some other book series for my other niece... I don't know what she wants yet (she was only recently born.)
