Hello... my name is Shelly Kitz. I write in a small town in Kansas where I enjoy my days working at a nursing home and at a grocery store. When I am not working at my part time jobs, you can find me writing. (I feel like you already knew that though)

 

But some other things that you should know about me and my stories, I love any book that has fantasy elements, has a lot of action and plot lines that make you rethink what you know, and I also love a good mystery. (Which ties into perfectly with the Bugztopia PD Series)

 

I also am a huge family person. I absolutely love my family and everything that they stand for. I am by far one of their biggest cheerleader. (though I might not tell them that) But my writing is to inspire my nieces and nephew and any kids in my future. 

My family is such a big factor in my life, my pen name Shelly Kitz actually has a story. So my birth name is Michelle and growing up people would call me Shelly. (Which I hated... now I use it as my author brand) And then Kitz is not actually my last name, it is a combination of my mom's maiden name and my dad's last name. So when you put them together, you get Kitz. 

 

And I feel that my pen name just screams how much family means to me. They are my rock when I am stressed, they are my blanket when I need comforting, and they are my inspiration when I don't know what to do anymore. (I would share pictures, but I don't feel like they would like to have their pictures online)

 

This also gives you a sneak peak into what my writing is about. In all my stories it will some how involve family... found family, chosen family, or any other type of family that can be formed. When you read my books you will get the idea that everything will come back to family. (Maybe I am telling you too much about my writing, but this is just things that you need to know about me)
